Hiking in the Dundas Conservation Area

This amazing tree greeted us as we entered the forest

It seemed to blend into the stone

A peaceful resting area

The forest was dense with thick vines

some trees were heavily... decorated.

Others had more natural adornments

This little mid-tree oasis was home to a particularly large slug. Can you spot him?

Gone to seed...

We trudged on through the leaves (photo credit: Consuelo McAlister)

Stumbled upon a beautiful Lookout

In Memory...

This one almost looks like a painting with all of the colours and textures

Long since fallen trees were home to all sorts of Fungi

This tree made a face at us!

A trail maintenance volunteer was kind enough to take this picture of us all, after explaining the dangers of a certain spiky white caterpillar.
Here is the offending critter in question

Deep River Ontario in the Fall

Mornings were misty and cool on the Ottawa River

Some seagulls would take refuge on the point each night

As the sun grew hotter the mist would slowly dissapear

Canada's Day 2014!

View of Banff from Mt. Norquay

Luca says that Photography is all about your shooting posture

Here he is explaining his method

You must be one with your subject, he says

Some very bright flowers on Mt. Norquay

A moss covered branch

It was a very serene place

Had a nice chat with this old fellow

Canada Day Parade in Banff

Trying to get the first view of the parade!
